Introduction to inline skating (4~8 YO) @ SGLAB
The activity was advertised as a 'introduction' to inline skating, but most of the children who took part already knew the basics, which is fine by me. But what I couldn't accept was the coach not giving adequate attention and coaching to the children who came in with zero skating skills. Every bit of the session was just touch and go for those new students, from learning to fall, standing up, moving off, braking. And because my child was struggling throughout the session without proper guidance, I had to step in to assist my child. Which is damn ridiculous and silly because what's the point of having the coach in the first place?!

It didn't help that the training zone was so cramped and small (think 8 children and 1 adult in a space slightly larger than the size of a typical HDB BTO bedroom), which is hardly conducive for a skating lesson.

Worst of all, I had to purchase Decathlon gear just to attend the lesson while I witnessed the coach allowing someone who just walked in with skates borrowed from the store itself. This is just unfair.

I strongly encourage everyone who is interested in letting their child pick up skating to look elsewhere. This Decathlon activity is a complete waste of time.
